How Akushi Foods keeps your details
Last changed 1 November 2026. This system is run by Akushi Foods, and made and looked after for them by SXA Innovations Limited.
What we keep
- Customers: your name and phone number(s), what you bought, what you paid and how, and what you owe on a tab.
- Staff: your name, phone number, email (the owner), your role, and when you signed in and on which tablet.
- Records of the business: stock, deliveries, suppliers' names and phone numbers, and who did what, when.
We do not keep card numbers. A card or bank transfer is written down by its amount and reference only.
Why
- To sell to you, print your receipt, and know what you owe and have paid.
- To run the restaurant and the factory: stock, staff, and the books.
- To keep the business safe: knowing who did what, and spotting a payment that never arrived.
We do not sell your details, and we do not use them to advertise to you. We send you nothing unless you asked for it, such as a receipt by WhatsApp.
Where it is kept, and who can see it
- On secure servers in Frankfurt, Germany (Neon and Vercel), over encrypted connections.
- Inside the business, each person sees only what their job needs. Money and the business's accounts are the owner's alone.
- A copy is taken three times a day, in case anything is lost. The copies are encrypted, and kept in a private store.
- SXA Innovations Limited can reach it only to keep the system running, and keeps it confidential.
How long
As long as the business needs it, and as long as the law asks business records to be kept (generally six years for the accounts). A customer taken off the list who never bought anything is deleted; one who did is switched off, their history kept for the accounts.
What you can ask for
- To see what we hold about you.
- To have it corrected.
- To be taken off the list, as far as the law lets us (the accounts must stay whole).
- To complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng) if you are not happy with how we answer.
